The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has issued a draft notification proposing amendments to the Food Safety and Standards (Fortification of Foods) Regulations, 2018. This draft amendment, published on 18th September 2024, seeks to omit sub-regulation (4) of Regulation 7. The proposal is open for public comment, and objections or suggestions can be submitted to the FSSAI within 60 days from the publication date.
